We had such a good time on the last two walks, getting a bit fitter and out in the fresh air, friendship and John's music a large part of the days.
We have decided to do a short winter walk on Sunday 15th December 2002. It will be at Bradgate Park, in between Loughborough and Leicester, not far from junction 23 of the M1.
I propose we will meet at 11.30 a.m. at the main car park on the B5330, which is near to the Cropston Reservoir.
It will only be two to three hours long, walking not more than three or four miles. We will walk around the Deer park, up the old John Tower, (not too steep) and past the old ruin of Bradgate House, on footpaths and tracks.
There are toilets in the car park and usually somewhere to get food and a drink, but please bring your tea and sandwiches again if you wish.
For further information please don't hesitate to contact us on 01283 734478 or by email. Hopefully, I will soon have some photos, maps and information on my web site.
We have already got some thoughts and ideas for a couple of walks in 2003! We will keep you posted if you're interested.
