This is just one of the ways I want to thank everyone for coming to my 40th Birthday party. It was so good to see so many of FoJD there.

It was a night I will remember forever, starting with Heather, my daughter's, Latin dance troupe doing their routine for everyone, followed by Heather and her partner doing a cha-cha routine I have never seen them doing before, they have been practising for weeks and it really brought a tear to my eye. Next a demonstration from Ian and Vicky, two 15 year olds that look like 25. They did the Paso Doble and the jive. It was difficult after that performance to get onto the floor and dance I can tell you.

Dancing The Night Away

Food was next and everyone relaxed to JD in the background. After we had all been suitably refreshed David my partner said a few words and Debbie read out a beautiful poem she had written for me, I have to say I would not have recognised myself from the poem but it was overwhelming to receive it and I will treasure it forever.

We danced the night away and Rachel and Debbie gave a line dancing performance that cleared the floor, no one could compete with that either. With all these performers it was like the School of 'Fame' in New York!!

It all came to an end far too quickly when I had to stand in the middle of a circle while everyone sang Happy Birthday to me and then I had to go round the circle kissing everyone!! A whole 150 people, my lips were aching.

Thank you to all of you who could manage it. I know it wasn't practical for you all to get there but you did miss a great evening, one that I will remember forever.

Peace, Anita
