... our FIRST TIME, but definitely not our last...
... The colours as we drove into Aspen were breathtaking...
... the sunlight was shimmering through aspens and cottonwoods and the waters of the rivers were sparkling...
... my first visit to this wonderful place, I found myself so at peace and such happiness that I had never experienced before...
... we all went to Maroon Bells...sat on the log where John was interviewed by Ray Martin and had our photos taken...
... The tribute concert and John Adams concert were very emotional as was the unveiling of John's bronze statue at Windstar, what a beautiful day, the weather could not have been better to us, very warm with clear blue skies...
... The Earthbeat Choir were wonderful. How good to see young people who enjoy John's music...
... We went to the campfire and again it was very emotional, they had a Muppet show from the top of a van, it was lovely to hear Kermit and Miss Piggy sing the Christmas tree song...
... As I walked from the parking area onto the Windstar land it was almost like coming home...
... the unveiling of John's statue, it was so moving as Dan McCormick was singing a beautiful song...
... A hawk soared overhead and continued to soar round and round...Tom looked up and said, "He's here!"...
... It was so peaceful and serene and as we got off the coach there was John's statue all on its own in the centre of the meadow and it seemed to me that he had come home...
... The Peace Cloth has changed my life... we walked in the tent to be greeted straight in front of us by John Adams singing and behind him the original panel...
... a Rocky Mountain High at the top of Snowmass Mountain...
... The sanctuary is more beautiful than I could have imagined...
... I knew then that John was here, around me, in the forest, in the rivers and in the mountains he loved so much...

... The exhibition...was very moving...John's baby mug with 'Johnnie' written on it, a bronzed baby boot and the Grammy he won after he died that Jesse Belle received for him...
... Many of the events held during the 5th year celebration week were being filmed...Elizabeth was interested in the popularity of John's music in the UK...very interested to learn of our group and expressed a desire to do some filming of our event next year...
... what a week! From the hawk flying high over Windstar, to the peace of the John Denver Sanctuary in Aspen, and the splendour of the Colorado scenery...
... The driver's face when he heard 'Get your tongue out of my mouth....' was a picture...
... This trip was for me the most amazing and thrilling trip I've ever experienced...
... Meeting his family was one of the things I will never forget...
... Janet did a brilliant job of organizing everything, she is one lovely lady...
