Spring Denver Day

Please come and join us for another Denver Day. We will be celebrating John’s life around our campfire and everyone who wants to entertain us is welcome to do so. It would be wonderful if as many of you as possible could be there to share it with us. Don’t be shy – we are all friendly and would love to welcome some new faces. So it’s guitars at the ready to join in the fun – everyone is welcome to make their contribution to a great day.

The doors will open at 10.00am, and after time to meet and greet friends old and new, the day’s festivities begin at 11.00am with a greeting from the club staff. The remainder of the day will be occupied with performances from our talented musician members and friends, the raffle and the auction, not forgetting lunch! In between there will be time to relax and chat to a gentle background of JD music – to browse our project tables and the photographs and memorabilia that we hope many of you will bring along.

Following our Denver Day, Mark and Julia have arranged a very special treat for us – Dave Mallett in concert! Dave’s songs have received international acclaim and have been recorded by Emmylou Harris, Pete Seeger and Trisha Yearwood as well as our very own John Denver. John's version of "You Say the Battle is Over" at The Wildlife Concert won Dave an award for the song. The concert starts at 7:30 and tickets are available from Mark, priced £10. This concert is not to be missed!

All cheques should be made payable to Friends of John Denver. Once again full directions will be included with your tickets. If your request is received after 13 April, Irene will hold your tickets for collection on the day.
