Autumn Denver Day

Please come and join us for another Denver Day. We will be celebrating John’s life around our campfire and everyone who wants to entertain us is welcome to do so, so bring along your guitars (and anything else to make music!). It would be especially wonderful to see many of our new friends sharing the day with us.

The doors will open at 10.00am, and after time to meet and greet friends old and new, the day’s festivities begin at 11.00am with a greeting from the club staff. The remainder of the day will be occupied with performances from our talented musician friends, the raffle, tombola and auction, not forgetting lunch! (For anyone who has not been to a previous Denver Day, we ask you to bring a contribution for our buffet lunch – don’t worry if you are unable to bring anything though, as we always have plenty to go around.)

There will be plenty of time to relax and chat, to browse our project information and the photographs and memorabilia that we hope many of you will bring along – all to a gentle background of JD music. I’m sure those members travelling to Aspen this October will have lots of stories to share, and also a few prizes for our raffle and auction!

Following the success of our previous events at this venue, we once again have the availability of a bar in the club from 5pm and we can bring in a fish ‘n’ chip supper or a Chinese take away. Please indicate below whether you would like supper, and whether you would prefer fish ‘n’ chips or Chinese, so that we can get an idea of numbers. We will pass around menus and collect your orders on the day, when the cost of the meal (which is in addition to the ticket price) will also be payable.

After the food we will be carrying on with further entertainment. Unfortunately Brad and Kathy Fitch have cancelled their proposed concert, as they are unable to come to the UK; however, Steve Brook has stepped in to do a concert for us. This will be a ticketless concert, however we will be asking for donations on the night to help towards his travel expenses as he is coming over from Spain.

We will aim to finish Denver Day at approximately 6.00pm with ‘Wings’, set up the room for supper, and Steve Brook will start his concert at 7.30pm.
