Remembering John Denver

Friday 27th July 2007

With Steve Cherelle, Wes Cardy & Jan Mellon

The Quay Theatre, Sudbury, Suffolk at 8pm

Tickets: £11.00 (no concessions)

On the 12th October 1997, American singer/songwriter John Denver was tragically killed when the experimental aircraft he was flying crashed. Still deeply missed, he has left us a legacy of wonderful songs

Wes Cardy has always wanted to put together a show celebrating John Denver’s talent and tonight friends Jan Mellon and Steve Cherelle join him in an evening of music, songs and memories of the man. Wes and Jan (better known as Cardy and Coke) performed for many years at the Denver UK Fan Club conventions and Steve was John in TV’s Stars in Your Eyes. They all are ardent fans and their own song writing has been deeply influenced by him. As part of this tribute they are each writing a special song inspired by his music which they hope to perform.

Nearly ten years have flown by since his premature death, so come along, sit back, relax and join us in Remembering John Denver.
