As everyone knows 2009 was a sad year for us here at Timberwolf with the loss of two mums. Well we now have a fully confirmed date for a memorial concert in their honour.

All Proceeds to be split between Macmillan Nurses (for Jean), and Crossroads (for Joyce), two charities that were very helpful during our mums’ final days.

The show will be a variety show featuring Jean and Joyce's favourite songs, which will present quite a challenge to us, and at the same time will be quite fun trying to sing some songs that maybe we would never ever have dreamed of attempting to perform in a live show. Both Jean and Joyce had quite an extensive taste in the music and the artists that they loved to listen to. John Denver songs will of course be in among the mix. Their favourite JD songs might not be the ones you would expect them to pick, but their favourites will be performed. All will be revealed on the night.

This will definitely not be a morbid occasion. It will be a celebration of their lives, and the music that they loved. It will be a fun challenge for us, attempting to sing all these songs, music which ranges from the 1940's to present day.

Jean and Joyce will be sadly missed but we hope that this occasion will make them proud wherever they are now !

Ecclesfield is the neighbouring village to Chapeltown, where we hold our annual Christmas show. And is close to the same motorway Junction (M1 J35). Easily reached from the motorway and with plenty of restaurants and accomodation near by for anyone who may need them.

We decided that the Scout Hall wouldn't be suitable for this occasion. We wanted a stage and lighting, and a bigger venue. There will be a 'Jean Style' buffet during the interval with refreshments.

The date is now fully booked and we hope you are able to join us.
