The Poems Prayers & Promises Picnic

Saturday 3rd July 2010, at Dersingham in Norfolk

Well it's that time of the year again, spring will soon be here and before we know, it will be summer.

Val & I have decided to hold another picnic this year at the Natural England National Nature Reserve (Dersingham NNR) here in Dersingham Norfolk again.

The picnic will be on Saturday 3rd July. If you would like to come to the picnic, please register your interest by 26th June, one week before the event.

What we plan this year is for those who wish to have a walk around the reserve, is meet at the car park at 10.00am and do a 2 hour, (around 3-4 miles) walk, finishing at the John Denver Bench at 12 noon approximately.

For those who do not want to go on the morning walk, please meet at the JD Bench at 12 noon for the picnic. During the picnic we could take anyone who would like a short walk, down the steps to the board walk to see the peat bog or to the cliff view point.

Around 2.30-3.00pm, if it is a good sunny day, may we suggest that we spend a little time at our beach here in Heacham? We would love to show it to you all and the view across the Wash.

At around 5.30pm we will meet up, either at the Heacham scout hut or back at our home for a fish & chip supper & afterwards a good old JD sing-a-long. The choice between the scout hut and our home will be governed by the amount of friends attending the day. We could even have the fish & chips on the beach if you prefer, but that decision could be made on the day.

We would like to day to finish at the latest around 9.00pm, to give time to those who are travelling back home, & me (Paul) who will be getting up for work the next day at 4.30am.
