There is a stand of trees on a hill in Staffordshire named in memory of John. The site which is managed by the Woodland Trust is at Pipe Hall Farm near Lichfield.

It is a beautiful, open spot and the trees are Corsican Pines which are very reminiscent of the trees one might find high in the Rocky Mountains.

Just a few yards away, a herd of Red Deer roam the fields, and this really is a place to find some peace, away from the busy roads, yet it is easily accessible from the A38 or the A5.
