The Family Tree Scheme was run by the Tree Council, which is the national co-ordinating body for tree organisations in Britain. The scheme was administered by the International Tree Foundation from 1983 and offered us the opportunity to make a personal contribution to the beauty of Britain’s future landscape as we commemorate a very special person through the endowment of trees in permanent new plantings.  This scheme has now been discontinued, so we are unable to sponsor any further trees.

Friends of John Denver received a card for each tree we sponsored, containing a dedication which is also inscribed in the record book displayed at the site.
